Street Doctors in partnership with Premier League Kicks Project

On Saturday 30th April, six young people from the Premier League Kicks Project completed the following courses entitled:

  • What to do when someone is bleeding
  • What to do when someone is unconscious

These courses were delivered by an organisation called Street Doctors, organised by 2nd year medical students from across the country, who deliver many courses to help young people gain skills, information and development of abilities to deal with extremely difficult situations they may find themselves in within their local community.

The day was split, with each half lasting 45 minutes and covering both courses in detail. Young people took part in practical such as CPR techniques and also given valuable information on how to deal with serious bleeds, including the first steps they should take in an emergency.

All courses were certificated; giving young people a reward for their commitment and the opportunity to show potential employers/colleges the skills they have gained outside of school.
