Premier League Kicks partnership with Nova Training
Since September 2016, the Wolves Premier League Kicks Project has worked in partnership with the Bilston Nova Training Centre to deliver a free Football satellite session to young people attending the centre.
Every week the young people have the opportunity to access Wolverhampton College's sports hall facilities for one hour, while also benefiting from other opportunities offered through the Kicks project, such as a visit to Molineux and a tour; links into other Premier League Kicks sessions and opportunities to be involved in ball crew on match days.
The partnership between the project and Nova Training, has seen many of the young people benefit enormously from the opportunity given, and it is hoped that more young people from the centre will take up the opportunity to participate in the Premier League Kicks session in the coming months.
The Nova Study Programme is mainly aimed at young people between the ages of 16 - 19, offering Functional Skills qualifications in English, Math and ICT, and vocational qualifications in Construction, Motor Vehicle, Hair & Beauty, Business Admin, Customer Service, Hospitality and Retail. The programme is aimed at getting young people ready for work, so they are encouraged to do some work experience in their chosen career.
