Dave Edwards - Player of the Year

Every season Wolves Community Trust, in partnership with the Professional Footballers Association, selects its Player of the Year, to recognise the support and commitment a player has made throughout the year to the work delivered by the club's official charity.

Our winner this season is Dave Edwards - who has consistently supported our work throughout the year.

Dave was presented with his award by some of the Trust staff at Compton Park this week.

He said

"I am thrilled to receive this award and thank everyone concerned.

"There are a lot of people who put in a lot of work at the club and at the Trust, and this award is recognition of the tireless work they put in. I'm delighted to be able to help where I can."

Will Clowes, General Manager added:

"Dave has always been supportive of our work throughout his time at Wolves. He's always willing to help and is a great ambassador for the work we undertake. We hope he'll be supporting us for many years to come."

John Hudson, PFA Director of CSR said:

"The PFA believes that all players who go above and beyond what is expected of them in support of the club's community engagement programmes throughout the season should be recognised for their commitment. This Award should highlight and raise awareness of the social responsibilities and impact of our professional footballers off the pitch and we would like to extend our congratulations to Dave Edwards as this season's recipient of the 2015/16 Community Champion Award"
