Molineux Education - Primary Education

These are bespoke programmes that are tailored to meet the needs of the pupils. By using workshops that focus on literacy, numeracy, respect and healthy living we encourage pupils to 'think outside the box' and see how having these skills relate to everyday life.

Activities are devised and planned with the assistance of qualified teachers to ensure that the work is of a high standard and thus extremely beneficial to the pupils that it is delivered to. We use the facilities at the stadium to stimulate a positive working environment, such as pupils practising numeracy by planning presents for friends and family members in the club megastore.

We use the media suite to give pupils an insight into the role of a Club Press Officer, including the writing of match reports, interviewing players and how social media such as Twitter and Facebook are becoming bigger in the football world.

Pupils are encouraged to lead a healthy lifestyle by taking part in a workshop that analyses the diet of a footballer in comparison to an unhealthy person and what simple things they can do to ensure they stay healthy, such as eating the correct amount of fruit and veg or doing the right amount of exercise.

The FA's 'Respect' initiative has been huge over the last few years, and we have devised our own Respect programme which takes the example of how Respect is shown on a football pitch to other players and the referee, and transfers it into everyday life that the pupils lead, such as being respectful at school or at home.

This is all whilst incorporating a tour of the stadium and a trip into the Museum to give the pupils a look into the history in the club, and hopefully make a few new fans in the process!
